There is a charge of £2 for amendments/changes of journey on Southern services
Whether you are charged more depends on the terms and conditions of your ticket, the nature of the change you wish to make and the availability of fares at the time.
To check the terms and conditions of your ticket, log into My Account on our Online Booking System and 'Check your order status'.
If your ticket is a First or Standard Advance, you can change it online via My Account. Please note that this will incur a cost per ticket of any difference in fare plus a £2 charge.
Please also note that Advance tickets are strictly non-refundable
If your ticket is an Anytime, Off-Peak or Super Off-Peak fare and you wish to change the outward journey date, we would advise you there will be a cost per ticket of any difference in fare and a charge of £2 per transaction if changed online.
Alternatively, you can change your tickets at your nearest manned station however the cost to change an Advance ticket is £10 per ticket plus the difference between the current and new tickets. Any other ticket can be changed with the cost being the difference between the current and new tickets. There will be no administration charge.
The only exception is that Travelcards and season tickets cannot be changed, only refunded.
